After Spring Success, Plans Begin for CMA Fall Retreat

The four-day CMA Spring Retreat (March 30-April 2) was a big success, with more than 40 attending at Villa Desiderata, a historic lakeside campus in McHenry, IL. In addition to daily 12-step meetings, the sold-out gathering included workshops on recovery-related topics, as well as fun recreational activities like the 1980s-themed Prom Night.

Stormy weather and a tornado warning Friday added to the excitement, and the campfire gathering was postponed until Saturday.

The final Sunday morning closing meeting was followed by a business session at which the October 2023 CMA Fall Retreat committee was elected: Michael Shawn, Nickolas B, Nathan H., Doug T, and Juanito. Many thanks for the incredible service by Spring Retreat committee, including chair Brad L, co-chair Howard, and Treasurer Charlie C.
