New CMA Online Meeting Launches, Saturdays at 2 pm
A new CMA Chicago online meeting launched January 13. The 2 pm (central time) meeting will take place every Saturday. Chaired by Don with Jeff P as GSR, the meeting represents the 13th online meeting using CMA Chicago’s Zoom platform - Zoom ID: 9257252525.
The Saturday meeting will focus on recovery literature and is aimed at being welcoming to those with mental health issues and addicts who also must contend with prescribed drugs for addition recovery or mental health. In coming weeks another Zoom may be launched in the Sunday 2 pm central time slot.
In 2023, three new in-person meetings were launched and are now included at the CMA Chicago Meetings calendar:
“You Better Work” was launched in May at the Above & Beyond Recovery Center. A closed meeting, it uses the newly published CMA 12 Step Study Guide format with a lead speaker, each Wednesday at 6:30 pm at 2942 W. Lake St. in Chicago.
A new CMA closed weekly meeting focused on Sex, Intimacy, and Relationships started in September, and is held each Wednesday at 7 pm, at Ebenezer Church, 1650 W. Foster in Chicago.
In October a weekly meeting was launched at on Sundays at 2:00 pm at the Hazelden Betty Ford Center, 867 N. Dearborn St. in Chicago.
